Okay, I’m going to get a little emotional, and a little personal for a moment. The last time I released a book (Daughter of Shattered Skies, circa 2021), I had just experienced the world as I knew it come to an end. I got dumped by my ex of 5+ years literally days before the biggest moment of my life. With my heart heavy with grief, and my mind consumed with anxiety about my now ambiguous future, my heartbreak caused me to become physically ill the day of my book’s launch, and as a result, I was unable to enjoy the fruits of my labor.
I am over-the-moon to say that 3 years has changed everything.
It got better. It really did.
I got stronger, and smarter, and more in-tune with myself than I have ever been in my life. You know how they say the person you become in your 30’s is the person you would have been if peer pressures didn’t make you change to fit in? 13-year-old Sara would be freaking out to see where we’re at today, and she would not believe that we have done it on our own terms. #indieauthorlife
And today…Today I get to enjoy the release of my second fantasy novel, Son of Shattered Souls, with a full heart and the promise of tomorrow on the horizon.
